Taking pictures is all about light they say. But never forget movements and how to paint an atmosphere. The challenge to see the picture is one of my main objectives. The Sega dancers was performing on the beach when the dying sun was leaving us with only the light from a bon fire. A pleasant memory from Mauritius.
About me
Being interested in taking pictures forever I have used Instamatic, Hasselblad, Nikons from F to D2X, Nikonos, Panorama cameras (Noblex), Rolliecord, Minox, Fuji CSI (for UV/IR function) ..... but in the end of the day its the outcome the PICTURE that has to do the talking.
Pictures of what?
I would say anything that is challenging enough. I remember one occation when I was asked to document a small broken piece 2 feet into the body of a fighter plane and not allowed to use a flash as the fuel was highly explosive. Or taking pictures of insects so tiny that they could have been thread through a needle. Or when a lizard in Australia licked on my lense, a fish eye, when taking the picture , or .... yes I m doing this for those moments and the next moment is always just around the corner.
